
Ship Security Officer (SSO) STCW A-VI/5
The course covers the training requirements for those who are to serve as security officers (SSO) on ships in accordance with the STCW convention rule VI/5.The course has been approved by the Norwegian Maritime Directorate in accordance with § 14 of regulations of 22 December 2011 no. 1523 on qualifications and certificates for seafarers.

Requirements for prior knowledge
To be issued a certificate of proficiency (CoP), the candidate must document at least 12 months of sailing time as an officer on ISPS vessels.
